• Living/dining area: The front door opens onto the spacious living/dining area, sensitively decorated using natural locally sourced fabrics and materials in neutral tones. The beautiful oak table and bench seating, the fireplace of creamy Elmalı stone and a floor of exquisitely laid with slabs of sparkling gneiss are just a few of the impressive features in this living area. The room has double aspect windows with views over the garden. A hand-crafted open-tread timber staircase leads to the first floor.
• Kitchen: The fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen with bespoke wooden cabinets and “absolute black” granite work surfaces backed with a huge slab of creamy, polished Elmalı stone, leads off the living area and has sliding doors leading onto the garden, perfect for al fresco dining.
• Master suite (north): With its vaulted, cedar and oak beamed ceiling, rustic wood and iron chandelier, polished timber floors and traditional Turkish rugs made using natural dyes, this master bedroom combines Elmali’s original cottage-style design with many modern touches, providing high levels of style and comfort. One of the many creative features is a suspended king-size (2m x 180 cm) bed and two bedside tables, all crafted from single pieces of polished Elmalı stone, backed by a wall feature of textured Elmalı stones. This room leads onto a dressing area and in turn into a generous and gloriously original shower room that features pebbled walls, a massive double basin hewn from a single piece of polished metamorphic gneiss over a wooden base and a monsoon shower. The windows of this suite face onto the gardens, pool and forest. There is access to a first-floor terrace with seating, which is shared with the south facing suite, a perfect place from which to admire the views. The room has a wall mounted Smart TV.
• Master suite (south): With its vaulted, beamed ceiling and characterful chandelier, this suite is an imaginative blend of time-honoured Turkish style and contemporary design. There is a spacious bedroom with a king-size handcrafted (200cm x 180 cm) wooden bed, a feature wall of natural, seasoned chestnut timbers and bespoke fitted wardrobes. The large separate shower room features two basins, each carved from single pieces of metamorphic gneiss above a wooden base, the honey tones of which beautifully complement the pebbled splashback, floor and the interior of the luxurious shower. The windows of this suite overlook the gardens, pool and forest. There is also a first floor terrace to the side and access to the main terrace which is shared with the adjoining north master suite. The room has a wall mounted Smart TV.
• Twin bedded room: Downstairs, leading off the living area, this room makes the most of vibrant Ottoman deigns. it has two generous single beds, hand carved bedside tables and fitted bespoke wardrobes. The side window has views of the forest and there are sliding doors that open onto the garden.
• Shower room and guest cloakroom: This shower room is adjacent to the twin-bedded room and also serves as a guest cloakroom. A masterpiece of original design, as well as a monsoon shower, it features a quirky asymmetric mirror crafted from a piece of oak in its natural form, and an extraordinary, hand basin made from a carved piece of metamorphic Gneiss, which in turn sits atop a tree trunk, lending an almost fairy-tale quality to the room!
